Missions Ministry Team
West Texas Cowboy Church continues to participate in ministering to our community and in ministering in world-wide efforts and missions. We have participated in such areas as Petting Zoos for Special-needs Children City-wide Event in Midland; Christian Youth Night at the Rodeo in Odessa; and Special Needs Kids Rodeo. The last two were part of the SandHills Stock Show and Rodeo events.
We are also involved in a ministry to our military troops and have established an ongoing effort called HONORING OUR TROOPS MINISTRY. We have several folks who have sons/daughters in the military that we want to pray for and encourage as well as others you have told us about. About once a month we send care packages to each soldier including food, reading materials, lotions, sunscreen, etc. that our members donate as well as cards and letters and pictures. To participate in this ministry, we have customized lists of needs and wants from each troop at Cowboy Church and buckets ready to receive donations. Then we package them and mail them. You can also participate by PRAYING DAILY FOR EACH TROOP.
COINS FOR AFRICA – If you have any loose change, you may want to toss it in the Coins for Africa can at Cowboy Church. This is a way that you can help TRENA IVY. She is a new missionary who will be traveling to Kenya February 29. She will be working with orphan children who have basic needs (like shoes).
